Medical Guidelines

Please find the medical guidelines for the 2009 World Transplant Games, which have been recently sent to all Team Managers.  This document provides information about traveling to Australia, the services that will be available in Gold Coast, and advice and suggestions to achieve the most pleasant experience for all, athletes and spectators.

Medical Seminar

A medical Information Seminar will be held on Wednesday, August 26.

All participants at the Games are invited to attend. A panel of highly qualified doctors will be available to discuss a range of medical issues. It is intended that at least half of the time allocated will be for questions you wish to raise.


Medical Assistance at the Games

Medical assistance will be provided at all sporting venues for the duration of the Games.


Insurance

As with any travel, we highly recommend that you take out travel insurance in addition to the Repatriation Insurance program organised by the WTGF and included in your Registration charge.


Forms

The following documentation is required to be completed for athletes competing in the Transplant Games.  Please liaise with your Team Manager in regards to these forms and ensure that they are completed on time and submitted to your Team Manager as soon as possible.

Waiver

Everyone who registers MUST complete and return the Waiver and Release Form, Code of Conduct and return it to their Team Manager as soon as possible.
